Tay Lautner is opening up about the more difficult side of pregnancy as she prepares to welcome her first baby with husband Taylor Lautner.
During a new episode of The Squeeze, which released on Wednesday, May 13, the mom-to-be discussed how she’s feeling in her second trimester with her guest, influencer Kay Dudley. While Tay noted that she’s doing better than she was in her first few months, she also admitted that it’s been an overall trying experience.
“I was like just having a meltdown and I was like, I don’t think I like being pregnant,” said the podcast host, 29. “Which, you know, sounds horrible to say, but like … I’m not really enjoying all of the things that come along with it.”

Kay, 34, agreed that it can be extremely difficult, as she experienced while expecting her three daughters, Sutton, 6 months, Ellie, 2, and Kinsley, 13. Kay specified that she initially struggled with the physical impact of pregnancy, though she added, “As I’ve gotten older, I’ve gotten more appreciative of my body changes, but it is hard to kinda wrap your mind around that.”
Echoing the sentiment, Tay said that in this period of her life, she’s dealt with some fairly unprecedented insecurities about how she looks.
“I’ve never really struggled with comparison, but I’ve definitely found myself comparing like my pregnant body to other pregnant women, especially the women that are weeks away from giving birth and are still all skinny and fit,” she explained.
“I’m like in my husband’s jeans right now,” Tay continued. “It’s the first time I’ve really had that struggle before, which I think might also be a thing … I’m already not feeling great about myself, but then the comparison aspect of it.”
She and Taylor, 34, revealed the news of their baby on the way on Instagram on Thursday, March 26. They shared photos of themselves posing in a field together, holding up a series of sonogram images. In one sweet photo, the Twilight actor bent down to kiss his wife’s stomach under her white skirt and white tank top.
“What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?🤍,” the couple cheekily wrote in their caption.
