Fans know Chipotle’s guacamole has its own fan club. It’s the kind of thing people crave at midnight, argue about online, and make viral challenges for. So when a giant tub of guac showed up with a mini Jacob figurine nestled inside, the internet pretty much lost it.
On Wednesday, October 15, Tay Lautner (yes, Mrs. Lautner) hopped on TikTok with a cheeky confession: sometimes she forgets she’s married to a celebrity — Taylor Lautner. “But it’s moments like this when I’m reminded of it,” she says before flipping the camera to reveal a massive tub brimming with guacamole. There, front and center, is Twilight’s Jacob soaking in the green glory.
“This is a bathtub of guacamole…from Chipotle,” Tay says as Taylor laughs in the background. She holds her hand over the surface for scale. “For reference, this is my hand… like, this is huge.” She zooms in on the guac. Sitting next to the tub is a bag of chips and a love note from Chipotle that reads, “Taylor, Here’s a Celeb Card so we never have to worry about where the hell you’ve been, loca.”
“Perks because I get to eat it now,” Tay says. Without skipping a beat, Taylor shouts from off camera, “You’re welcome!”
Naturally, the internet erupted.
“Someone on the PR team was cackling as they pitched this idea 😂,” one fan quipped.
“It’s the giggles from Taylor in the background that have me in an absolute chokehold 🤣🤣🤣,” another wrote.
“Wait, but did they give you more chips? That’s a wild chip-to-guac ratio,” chimed in a third.
“Side-eyeing my husband for not being a celebrity and getting me a bathtub of guacamole,” joked someone else.
While the stunt fits perfectly in Chipotle’s long line of guac-fueled internet moments (remember the #GuacDance challenge that racked up 430 million views?), it’s also a callback to another celeb bathtub stunt: Selena Gomez, who went viral earlier this year when then-fiancé Benny Blanco gifted her a tub of nacho cheese for Valentine’s Day.
As for the Lautners, life hasn’t slowed down. Taylor and Tay first went public in 2018, and after a romantic proposal in November 2021, they tied the knot exactly one year later, on November 11, 2022. Now their home is part podcast studio, part content lab: they co-host The Squeeze, a show where they swap life stories, crack jokes, and bring special guests into their orbit. Tay also runs LEMONS by Tay, a self-care platform that promotes putting “mental health and wellness first.”
Taylor, meanwhile, has a new project in development at Amazon MGM Studios called Taylor Lautner: Werewolf Hunter. According to Variety, he’ll play a fictionalized version of himself, drawn into a secret society of werewolf trackers.
