Chicago Fire is an American action-drama television series about firefighters, created by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, and airing on NBC since 2012. It was the first series in the One Chicago universe, which later expanded to include Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and Chicago Justice. As of 2026, the series has aired 14 seasons and is renewed for a 15th season.
The series is set around Firehouse 51, a fictional fire station of the Chicago Fire Department.
The crew includes: Engine 51, Truck 81, Rescue Squad 3, and Ambulance 61.
Each episode typically features two storylines: One or more dangerous rescue missions, and the everyday lives of firefighters after their shifts.
