Season 14 concluded with one of the most shocking endings in Chicago Fire history, leaving fans on the edge of their seats as Firehouse 51 plunged into a horrific disaster. A building unexpectedly collapsed while firefighters were still working, trapping many members amidst the flames and rubble.

As season 15 prepares to air, the biggest question is no longer how the fire will be resolved, but who will be unable to escape from the wreckage?

Christopher Herrmann – The Beloved Captain. Herrmann has long been the heart and soul of Firehouse 51. His experience, composure, and unwavering dedication to his teammates make him the team’s pillar of support.

However, sometimes the most beloved characters are the ones who cause the most heartbreak for viewers. After enjoying happy family moments at the end of season 14, having Herrmann face danger at the beginning of season 15 will create a huge emotional shock and change the dynamics of Firehouse 51.

Joe Cruz – The man who always rushes into danger first. Joe Cruz never flinched from the most difficult missions. It was this very spirit of self-sacrifice that made him one of the most worrying figures after the building collapse.

If Cruz were seriously injured or did not survive, Firehouse 51 would lose a seasoned warrior, leaving a huge void in Severide and the entire team.

Randall “Mouch” McHolland – The Silent Hero. Mouch repeatedly escaped death throughout the Chicago Fire saga. Therefore, many fans worry that season 15 might be the time when the writers conclude the journey of one of the most veteran characters.

If that happens, it would be one of the most emotionally charged deaths in the show’s history, profoundly impacting the spirit of Firehouse 51.

What made the ending of season 14 so special was the sheer number of characters simultaneously in danger. Many members of Firehouse 51 were trapped when the roof collapsed during a rescue mission, leaving viewers unsure who would survive until season 15 officially began.

This type of cliffhanger was rarely used on such a large scale in Chicago Fire, making all theories plausible but nothing yet confirmed.

Beyond the story of the characters’ fates, season 15 also marks a change behind the scenes as Victor Teran takes over as showrunner. This is expected to bring a new direction to the series, while still maintaining the spirit of camaraderie, courage, and sacrifice that has become the hallmark of Chicago Fire.

Until the premiere airs, fans can only wait and make predictions. Will Firehouse 51 have to say goodbye to one, two, or even more members? Or will they all overcome the disaster to enter a new battle?

One thing is certain: season 15 will begin with the most intense fire, and perhaps the fire that will bring the most tears to fans’ eyes.
