Could Taylor Lautner and Tay Lautner name their daughter Taylor? It’s not off the table.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2022, are currently expecting their first child together. On Wednesday, Aug. 26, Tay, 29, appeared on Call Her Daddy with host Alex Cooper, opening up about her pregnancy and coming up with a baby name.
“Was there any consideration of naming your child Taylor?” Cooper asked Tay.
“It may be in the mix,” Tay teased. “We will find out when the baby comes.”

Tay noted that she felt “so much pressure naming a human,” and noted that fans have been in support of the name Taylor for the little girl.
“I feel like if I don’t name my baby Taylor, the Internet’s literally gonna cancel me,” Tay quipped. “I’m gonna get canceled.”
However, she’s not convinced that the name is truly what the people want, saying, “But I’m like, guys, are you really gonna want that name?”
And while they’re having a girl, the pair had a plan for a baby boy with the name Taylor.
“We used to always joke that if we’re having a boy, we’d name him Taylor and call him T.J.” she shared.
Tay said there are about three to five names that she and the Twilight star, 34, are considering as they await their little one’s arrival.
After sharing their pregnancy news in March, Tay said she felt like a “weight had been lifted.”
“I think I was just so stressed someone was gonna leak it, honestly,” Tay admitted. “I think I was a little scarred from our wedding because our first look, someone photographed us having our first look. It came out the day after the wedding, and that was the first time it was really something that was so intimate.”
The couple celebrated their baby shower earlier this month with Tay decked out in pink in honor of her little girl.
“Our little girl is already so loved💞 thank you @jaclynhill for throwing the shower of my dreams!” Tay captioned photos from the celebration. “You have the biggest heart and will be the best auntie ever. Can’t wait to share more from such a precious day✨👼🏻🍼🐣”
Tay also previously opened up about her decision to keep her daughter off social media.
“The internet is, I’ve just learned, is such a scary place to have kids,” Tay said during her appearance on Matt and Abby Howard‘s Unplanned Podcast on June 17. “And, you know, I have friends that share their kids all the time and I love seeing their kids on the internet. But for me personally, I don’t think that’s what I want to do. But I could change my mind and I could want to do that … It’s just like a level of privacy.”
