Grey’s Anatomy Season 22 Heads to Netflix Following Successful ABC Run

Grey’s Anatomy fans won’t have to wait much longer to revisit the latest chapter of the iconic medical drama. Season 22 is set to make its Netflix debut later this week, less than a month after concluding its run on ABC.

The newest season will begin streaming on Netflix on June 6, joining the first 21 seasons already available on the platform. The release gives viewers another chance to catch up on the season’s biggest storylines and emotional moments before the series returns with new episodes.

Season 22 premiered on ABC on October 9, 2025, and wrapped up on May 7, 2026, with its finale episode, “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” Throughout its run, the season remained a strong performer for the network, averaging approximately 2.8 million viewers per episode. The finale itself attracted one of the season’s largest audiences.

The long-running drama has also continued to thrive in the streaming world. Recent viewing data showed that audiences spent more than 918 million minutes watching Grey’s Anatomy across Netflix and Hulu in a single week, highlighting the show’s enduring popularity more than two decades after its debut.

Created by Shonda Rhimes, Grey’s Anatomy follows the personal and professional lives of doctors at Seattle’s Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Since premiering in March 2005, the series has become one of television’s most successful medical dramas and one of ABC’s longest-running scripted programs.

The current cast includes franchise veterans Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr., Kevin McKidd, Kim Raver, Camilla Luddington, and Caterina Scorsone, among others.

Over the course of 22 seasons, the series has earned widespread critical acclaim and numerous industry honors. Grey’s Anatomy currently holds strong audience and critic ratings and has received 40 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, taking home four wins.
