A huge congratulations are in order for Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams and his wife, Alejandra Onieva, who are expecting their first child together.
Jesse and Alejandra announced their baby news in a low-key way, sharing photos from a sunny trip on Instagram
A short video shows the actress’ showing off her growing bump in a red dress, while a photo shows her posing while sitting on the beach.
TMZ first reported that the couple had tied the knot, reporting at the start of May that it was a ‘low-key ceremony’ held ‘a few months ago.’
It’s thought that they met on the set of the Prime Video show Hotel Costiera, a show where Jesse starred as the main character, Daniel De Luca, a former Marine, who returns to Italy to work at a luxury hotel. The show’s longline reads: ‘Shortly thereafter, the owner’s daughter disappears, and De Luca is tasked with finding her.’
Jesse previously spoke with PEOPLE about making the TV show, and told how he managed the time difference of working in Europe and calling his children at home in the US.
‘[I was] waking up at 3 a.m. to call the kids because I’m nine hours ahead of them, so sleep was really tough,’ he said.
The former Grey’s Anatomy star, who played Dr Jackson Avery, was previously married to Aryn Drake-Lee, whom he met while still working as a teacher, but they called time on their marriage in 2017.
He told USA Today in 2010: ‘She’s been with me through all different facets of my career. She’s stuck with me through thick and thick and thick and thin. We know each other in and out.’
