Season 5 draws inspiration from Michael Connelly’s bestselling novel Resurrection Walk, the seventh book in the acclaimed Mickey Haller series. However, the television adaptation introduces a significant change. In the novel, it is Mickey’s half-brother Harry Bosch who pulls him into the case. Because the rights to Bosch remain with Amazon, Netflix has reimagined the storyline by replacing Bosch with Emi Finch—creating an entirely new dynamic that could reshape Mickey’s personal and professional future.

The season will also bring back familiar faces, including Becki Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole as Izzy, Angus Sampson as Cisco, and Neve Campbell as Maggie McPherson. Meanwhile, several new cast members are joining the series, expanding what is already the largest ensemble in the show’s history.
