Iain Armitage had a major fanboy moment after seeing Billie Eilish up close and his excitement only grew when the Young Sheldon star was moved by her generous heart.

The former child star shared the unforgettable encounter on his social media, swooning over the presence of the award-winning singer.

In an Instagram update, Armitage, looking dashing in a gray suit and burgundy tie, beamed as he hugged and posed for a photo with the “Birds of a Feather” hitmaker.

“Oh yeah, I realized I forgot to post the photos of me MEETING BILLIE EILISH. She was so awesome, and genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve ever met- ILYB!!!” he wrote.

Both attended the 2026 MLK Jr. Beloved Community Awards, where Eilish received the Environmental Justice Award. The singer-songwriter was honored alongside Viola Davis and NBA superstar LeBron James for their contribution and impact on society.

On the other hand, the teen star didn’t just gush over Eilish; he also highlighted the musician’s generosity, especially her $11.5 million donation to the Changemaker Program.

“I ALSO forgot to mention that Billie was there accepting the environmental justice award for donating ELEVEN AND A HALF MILLION DOLLARS to the Changemaker Program. What a legend!!” he added.

The comment section was filled with fans agreeing with Armitage’s message, especially praising the multiple Grammy winner as a positive role model for younger generations.

“She’s pretty awesome!” one wrote.

“@iain, yes legend!!! What a brilliant role model – and also I think others that have a platform/in the music industry should really take this approach on board,” a commenter added.

“I did not know this. That’s incredible and honestly makes me want to listen to all of her music now and start following her on Instagram (followed). She didn’t just donate the money; she raised the money for this. And I have so much respect for that. Thanks for sharing!” a fan said.

Back in October, Eilish made headlines for donating part of her “Hit Me Hard and Soft” tour ticket sales proceeds to The Changemaker Program, which supports organizations’ mission to address environmental issues and food insecurity globally.

During the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards, she delivered a bold speech after calling out billionaires and urged them to support causes financially.

“We’re in a time right now where the world feels really dark, and people need empathy and help more than ever—especially in our country,” she mentioned in her speech, adding, “If you have money, it’d be great to use it for good—maybe give some to people who need it.”

Her statement garnered public support and admiration from fans such as Iain Armitage.
