‘DUTTON RANCH’ IS READY TO CARRY ON THE ‘YELLOWSTONE’ LEGACY — AND BETH NOW FACES A TERRIFYING NEW ENEMY LI02

Yellowstone final season

If five seasons of Yellowstone taught us anything, Beth Dutton never backs down.

She went up against villains on the series like she was chasing the latest fashion trend, and something tells me she’s got her work cut out for her with Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening) on Dutton Ranch.

Paramount+ on Tuesday unveiled the full-length trailer for Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser’s Yellowstone follow-up.

The footage starts tranquil enough with Beth and Rip contemplating what their lives would be like in Texas after leaving Montana behind.

But things quickly go awry, with a rival ranch waging war on the Dutton Ranch and making it as clear as day that they’re so not welcome in Texas.

Beulah, in particular, points out the ranch’s history, but Beth is only too happy to throw some gasoline on the simmering fire between them.

The clip lacks context, showing things going from zero to 100 in quick succession.

After everything they went through on Yellowstone, I can’t believe Beth and Rip are already at war with another family.

Maybe the gist of Dutton Ranch will be that they can’t leave the deadly life they led behind.

Dutton Ranch Is a Big Pivot for Beth and Rip
And hey, that’s not a bad thing. As a viewer who wants action and intrigue, this latest trailer fits the bill.

In Montana, the Dutton name held stock, but in Texas, things do not seem to be going to be easy.

Rip wastes no time in rounding up an army to fight back, but will that be enough to take on what could be an unlimited number of enemies under Beulah’s rule?

Something’s got to give, and Beth and Rip are not going to give up their pride and allow someone to run them out of their new home.

It seems that they’re so interested in putting down roots that Rip has found himself a new train station to offload enemies he wants to disappear.

After Yellowstone Season 5, Dutton Ranch promises to be the successor to the mothership that shares the most in common with it.

Marshals has been a fun change of pace, but it’s been a colossal disappointment for those wanting a true sequel to Yellowstone.

The Dutton Ranch premieres on Paramount+ on Friday, May 15, with two episodes, followed by one new episode per week.

We really don’t have long to wait for the explosive next chapter, and we hope it lives up to the hype.

The cast is rounded out by Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Ed Harris.
