The report further stated that Lionsgate was still deciding the exact direction of the show. According to the exclusive intel, the studio wanted to shape the idea before taking it to streaming platforms or networks. Stephenie Meyer herself was also expected to be involved, which gave fans hope that the story would stay true to the books. But since the announcement, no major updates have arrived.
It’s still unclear when the show might be released or which platform will host it. Meanwhile, Netflix teased another exciting project in 2024, a Twilight animated series called Midnight Sun. This series would retell the Twilight story but from Edward Cullen’s perspective. Sadly, just like the live-action series, fans are still waiting for more news.
