The FBI news keep on coming! Right on the heels of the announcement that Katherine Renee Kane would be departing the role of Special Agent Tiffany Wallace, comes news of her possible replacement! But who is joining FBI for Season 7 and what can we expect from this new addition to the show?
Who Are the FBI Season 7 New Cast Members?
Deadline is reporting that Lisette Olivera, better known for her role in National Treasure: Edge of History, has landed a series regular role in the procedural. Olivera will play Syd, a trained Behavioral Analysis Unit Agent. Details on what role Syd will play or how she will come into contact with the rest of the team are still being kept under wraps, but the departure of Special Agent Wallace leaves a very clear opening for Syd to become part of the group dynamics, albeit in a somewhat different role than Wallace.

FBI is CBS’ crime drama series following the personal and professional lives of special agents at the New York City field office criminal division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The series — which was created by Dick Wolf, the same mind behind NBC’s Law & Order and One Chicago franchises — is led by FBI Special Agent Maggie Bell (played by Missy Peregrym) and her partner, Omar Adom “OA” Zidan (played by Zeeko Zaki).
Others in the cast include Jeremy Sisto, Alana De La Garza, and John Boyd.
Things will be a little different for FBI in Season 7, with Mike Weiss taking over as the show’s new executive producer and showrunner, replacing longtime showrunner Rick Eid, who stepped down in May. The show was recently renewed for 3 more seasons, which will take FBI to Season 9. FBI has spawned two spinoffs, FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted.
Olivera is coming off her first major role in National Treasure: Edge of History. In the expansion of the National Treasure franchise, Olivera played Jess Valenzuela, a 20-year-old Dreamer whose life is turned upside down when a stranger hands her a clue to a centuries-old treasure that might just be connected to her long-dead father. So, of course, she has to solve the mystery. Thankfully, she’s very good at solving puzzles. The Disney+ show was canceled after one season.
