The last series finished airing on CBS in May this year.

The success of the show spawned a franchise with many spin-offs.

These have included New Orleans, Hawai’i, Sydney, Origins, Tony & Ziva and the upcoming New York series, which premieres in October this year.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that NCIS legend Mark Harmon is returning to the franchise five years after his exit.

The actor is all set to star on spin-off NCIS: Origins for a season-long arc.

He previously starred as Leroy Jethro Gibbs for 18 seasons on the original show and now NCIS fans will be getting even more from him.

Mark will appear in all the episodes of season 3 as part of a present-day mystery in relation to his 90s Camp Pendleton days.

This will be Mark’s third time appearing on the spin-off, but the first time his character will be part of the entire story.
