Lily Anne Harrison isn’t officially Peter Facinelli’s “wife” yet, but that’s what he calls her.

 exclusively announced in January 2020 that the couple got engaged five years ago during their holiday getaway in Mazatlan, Mexico. Despite not being in a rush to walk down the aisle, Facinelli, 51, and Harrison, 36, already live as though they’re husband and wife.

“I mean, right now, it feels like the wedding is more of a party than making anything official,” Facinelli told Us Weekly while attending the New York Premiere of The Unbreakable Boy on Feb. 19 at AMC Lincoln Square.

“I call her my wife. I treat her like my wife,” the Twilight star continued. “So we’ll get to the paper and the party eventually.”

Wedding planning has been put on hold because the pair are “busy with the baby right now.” Facinelli and Harrison welcomed their first baby together, son Jack, on Sept. 5, 2022.

“It’s like, at some point we’ll get to it,” Facinelli continued of their future nuptials. “But every day is a celebration of love with her … right now, we’re just enjoying parenthood, being partners and when we get a minute we’ll throw a party and make it official.”

Back in 2021, Facinelli told PEOPLE that the COVID-19 pandemic was what paused wedding planning. When the time comes to plan the big day, he said he’ll likely leave most of the details to Harrison.

“I’m sure I’d like to be a part of it, but at the end of the day, I think it’s more important to me that she’s happy and it’s her special day,” he said, adding that he would “like to get married on a beach somewhere.”

The groom-to-be also shares daughters Luca, 27, Lola, 22, and Fiona, 18, with ex-wife Jennie Garth, 52. Facinelli filed to divorce Garth in 2012 after 11 years of marriage. Over the years, the exes have worked to remain friendly.

“What Peter and I ultimately wanted more than anything was to have our friendship back and be able to co-parent in a healthier way because we had been doing it all wrong for a while,” Garth told in July 2024.

Most recently, Garth and her husband Dave Abrams found shelter with Facinelli during the widespread Los Angeles fires.
