The Cooper family is celebrating the return of their patriarch.

Lance Barber is back on the set of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, getting ready to once again share the screen with a few of his Young Sheldon costars. Along with the return of George Cooper Sr., an upcoming episode of the spinoff will welcome Raegan Revord (Missy), Zoe Perry (Mary), Doc Farrow (Wayne), Matthew Letscher (Fred Fagenbacher), and Rex Linn (Principal Petersen) back to the series led by Montana Jordan (Georgie) and Emily Osment (Mandy).

Marking the occasion on social media, several of the cast members shared silly behind-the-scenes clips of the Cooper family back together. On Tuesday, Feb. 10, Revord shared a TikTok featuring Jordan and their on-screen dad, Barber.

In the video, Revord flips off the camera, before Barber mouths the words “so sorry.” Jordan then walks on screen to mouth, “no we ain’t.” All the while, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts’ “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll” plays in the background.

Revord teased the upcoming episode by captioning the post, “Family dynamics.”

In another video, posted by the official Instagram page for the  writers of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, Perry, Revord and Jordan are sharing a couch when the camera pans over to Barber. The audio features a viral moment from Dance Moms, where Abby Lee Miller complains, “Now I want to sit back and relax and enjoy my evening, when all of a sudden, I hear this agitating, grating voice.” But it’s all in good fun, as the trio burst into laughter when the camera comes back around to them.

On this post, the caption referenced the death of Barber’s character, reading, “He is risen.”

Perry and Revford are no stranger to the Georgie & Mandy set, as recurring characters on the show. Meanwhile, Barber previously guest-starred in the show’s first season, despite his character dying of a heart attack in the final season of Young Sheldon (a fact previously established in the flagship series, The Big Bang Theory).

Entertainment Weekly previously confirmed that the Young Sheldon patriarch would make an appearance on episode 18 of Georgie & Mandy‘s second season, though the details of his character’s return remain a mystery. Last time Barber popped into the spinoff was when Georgie saw visions of his father while sick.

Jordan previously confessed to EW that it’s weird not seeing Barber at the head of the Cooper family dining room table in scenes — and a joy whenever he is back on set.

“Anytime that we get to have any of the Cooper family back on set, it’s always a blast,” Jordan shared. “We had a great family dynamic behind the scenes on that show, as we do on this show, so anytime we can bring them back, we’re always welcoming them.”

Young Sheldon told the story of Sheldon Cooper’s childhood, long before the events of The Big Bang Theory. The role, previously filled by Jim Parsons was passed to Iain Armitage for the prequel. Now,  Georgie & Mandy follows Sheldon’s big brother, Georgie as he starts a family and navigates adult life.
