When do FBI, FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International return in 2025?
FBI Season 7, FBI: Most Wanted Season 6, and FBI: International Season 4 will come back from hiatus on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. The three shows will keep their same time slots with FBI airing at 8 p.m., FBI: International at 9 p.m. and FBI: Most Wanted at 10 p.m.
The FBI franchise was among the last primetime shows to go on hiatus after their midseason finales on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, with most primetime shows on ABC and NBC airing their fall finales in November. Winter and fall finales, which often happen before Thanksgiving or Christmas, occur so that the networks and the people who work for them can take a break before the holidays considering that viewership is typically low during that time as households spend more time celebrating than spending time watching TV.
Midseason finales also work as a way for networks to encourage viewership of the episodes as event television, especially if they air during what used to be sweeps week, an important period of time that networks previously used to evaluate whether to renew a show or not.
As for what can expect when the FBI franchise returns, viewers will see more of Agent Tyler Booth (played by Station 19 alum Jay Hayden) in the second half of FBI: International Season 4. In an interview with TV Insider in December 2024, Hayden, who made his debut on FBI: International just before the hiatus, confirmed that Booth — an old friend of new Fly Team leader Wes Mitchell (Jesse Lee Soffer) — will be more than just a guest star.
“He’s on temporary placement on the Fly Team; he’s been trying to make [the governmental rank] GS-14 for a long time, which is what Wes has achieved. He’s had some negative things happen in his career when they were partners and maybe being on the team will help him get there — or not,” Hayden told the site of his character.
