Netflix has quietly confirmed that The Lincoln Lawyer will conclude with its upcoming fifth season, bringing an end to one of the streamer’s most successful legal dramas.

The announcement surprised many fans, especially given the show’s strong performance. According to reports, The Lincoln Lawyer has spent 29 weeks in Netflix’s Global Top 10 rankings across its four seasons and has accumulated more than 171 million views since 2023.

Season 4 also showed continued audience growth. The latest installment debuted with approximately nine million views during its opening weekend, an increase from the seven million views recorded by Season 3.

Despite those numbers, Netflix has decided that Season 5 will be the series’ final chapter. The streaming service has not provided a specific reason for ending the show.

Creators Promise a Proper Ending

While the cancellation news may disappoint viewers, the creative team has assured fans that the series will receive a complete and satisfying conclusion.

Series developer Ted Humphrey and co-showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez said the goal from the beginning was not only to tell Mickey Haller’s story but also to give it a meaningful ending.

The pair promised that the final season will deliver the conclusion that both the character and the audience deserve.
