The Lincoln Lawyer to End With Season 5 as Netflix Adds New Cast Members
The Lincoln Lawyer is officially heading toward its conclusion. Netflix has confirmed that the legal drama’s upcoming fifth season will also be its last, bringing Mickey Haller’s journey to an end after five successful seasons.
The announcement comes as production on Season 5 is already underway. While the news may disappoint fans hoping for additional seasons, the show’s creative team says the goal has always been to give Mickey’s story a proper ending.
Series creator and co-showrunner Ted Humphrey, along with co-showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez, said they are grateful for the opportunity to conclude the story on their own terms and promised a final season that will deliver a satisfying ending for longtime viewers.
Season 5 Based on Resurrection Walk
As previously announced, the final season will adapt Michael Connelly’s novel Resurrection Walk. The 10-episode season will follow Mickey Haller as he takes on one of the most challenging cases of his career.
The story begins when Mickey’s newly discovered half-sister, Emi Finch (Cobie Smulders), asks for his help in freeing a woman she believes was wrongfully convicted of murder. As Mickey investigates the case and attempts to overturn a six-year-old conviction, he uncovers a dangerous network of corruption, lies, and hidden secrets.
The season will also explore Mickey’s complicated family history while placing new pressure on his trusted team, including Lorna, Izzy, and Cisco.

Alongside the announcement of the show’s ending, Netflix revealed six new recurring guest stars joining Season 5:

They join a growing list of previously announced newcomers, including Chris Diamantopoulos, Corbin Bernsen, Diane Guerrero, Iker Garcia, Patty Guggenheim, Richard Cabral, Steve Howey, and Teresa Maria.
Returning cast members include Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller, Becki Newton as Lorna Crane, Jazz Raycole as Izzy Letts, Angus Sampson as Cisco Wojciechowski, and Cobie Smulders as Emi Finch. Neve Campbell will also return in a recurring role as Maggie McPherson.
