The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 Turns Los Angeles Into the Ultimate Co-Star — And Mickey Haller’s Biggest Battle Yet

Los Angeles traffic has never looked this good.

Mickey Haller is officially back behind the wheel of his iconic blue Lincoln Continental convertible as The Lincoln Lawyer returns for its fourth season. But once again, it’s not just Mickey stealing the spotlight — the city of Los Angeles plays a starring role of its own.

Based on The Law of Innocence, the sixth novel in Michael Connelly’s bestselling book series, Season 4 throws Mickey into the most dangerous case of his career. Accused of murdering a former client, the defense attorney must fight to prove his innocence while facing off against the District Attorney’s office, the FBI, and painful ghosts from his own past.

Audiences have quickly embraced the new season. Following its debut, Season 4 landed at No. 2 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 English Series chart with an impressive 9 million views. The success comes as Netflix has already renewed the hit legal drama for a fifth season.

Behind the scenes, The Lincoln Lawyer continues to make a major impact on Southern California. Across its first four seasons, production spanned 359 filming days and employed more than 4,300 cast and crew members. The series has also partnered with over 50 local vendors, including Lennie Marvin’s Prop Heaven and Hollywood Cinema Arts, while showcasing artwork from Los Angeles creatives Matthew Nordman and Chris Carriveau throughout Mickey’s office and home.

The show’s connection to Los Angeles runs even deeper through its filming locations. Since its debut, the series has shot at more than 50 sites across the city. Season 4 features recognizable landmarks such as Dodger Stadium, Grand Central Market, the Bradbury Building, Langer’s Delicatessen-Restaurant, Los Angeles City Hall, Redbird, the Los Angeles Times Building, Hop Woo, the Vincent Thomas Bridge, and Bacio di Latte in Larchmont Village.

And because no Los Angeles story would be complete without great food, several beloved local food trucks also make appearances this season, including Tacos Y Birria La Unica Truck, Gozen Food Truck, and The Lobos Truck.

The production didn’t stop at the city limits. Cameras also rolled in neighboring communities including Artesia, Covina, Long Beach, Lynwood, Rancho Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Santa Clarita, and Torrance.

Season 4 even welcomes a special celebrity guest from the city’s culinary world. Renowned chef and restaurateur Nancy Silverton appears as herself. The award-winning owner of Osteria Mozza joins the series after previous appearances on Chef’s Table, while her celebrated restaurant recently made a memorable cameo in Nobody Wants This Season 2.

Beyond entertainment, The Lincoln Lawyer continues to invest in the local community. For the third consecutive season, the series partnered with Los Angeles nonprofit ManifestWorks, an organization dedicated to helping individuals affected by foster care, homelessness, and incarceration gain career opportunities through training, mentorship, and professional development.

One of this season’s trainees, Solomon Henry, received hands-on experience in the camera department while building valuable industry connections.

“Partnering with organizations like Netflix and Local 600 has helped me get in rooms and around the right people to help me in my career that I otherwise may not have had access to,” Henry said.

The program has already produced success stories, including former trainees Jade Baez, Michael Foster, and Darnell Twinn, who ultimately earned a position in the show’s props department after completing his training.

With high-stakes courtroom drama, iconic Los Angeles locations, and a meaningful commitment to the local community, The Lincoln Lawyer continues to prove why it remains one of Netflix’s most successful series.

All four seasons of The Lincoln Lawyer are now streaming on Netflix.
