Virgin River and Sullivan’s Crossing are connected by the books by Robyn Carr.
Each hit series is based on Carr’s books, which means there could be a crossover event because of that connection. Netflix does have the rights to Sullivan’s Crossing after it airs on The CW, making one part of the logistics for a crossover a tiny bit easier.
Although there is nothing planned right now, two Virgin River stars addressed the possibility of a crossover with Sullivan’s Crossing while promoting Season 7 of the hit Netflix show.
Ben Hollingsworth (Brady) and Zibby Allen (Brie) are on board for a major crossover event between the two shows.
“We have to, right?” Hollingsworth shared with Us Weekly. “I think that’s perfect and that would be amazing. I love that romance drama is really having a comeback and it’s gotten such momentum there.”
The Hallmark star feels it would be a special treat for fans if there were a crossover event. After all, Sullivan’s Crossing and Virgin River share a fan base thanks to Carr’s books.
“It would be fun to see what storyboards end up and what storylines end up happening. I’m down for that,” he spilled.
Allen was also all in for a crossover, saying she would love to see the Virgin River and Sullivan’s Crossing lives intersect. The actress has high hopes that, at some point, fans will get this treat.
“I feel like that could happen. I could see that happening. I love a crossover situation,” she expressed to the outlet.
The talk of a crossover comes as Virgin River Season 7 just dropped on Netflix and ahead of the Sullivan’s Crossing Season 4 premiere on Monday, April 20 at 8/7c on The CW. That means if a crossover were to happen, it will be a while.
Season 8 of Virgin River is already penned and will begin filming soon, while Season 5 of Sullivan’s Crossing has not been ordered yet.
