The “NCIS” cast may be evolving once again.

Wilmer Valderrama, who has starred as Special Agent Nick Torres on the series since 2016, is hinting at “major changes” coming to the longtime series. In an interview with People at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival, the actor talked about the Season 23 cliffhanger in May, in which the fates of Torres and McGee’s adult son are in question.

“To be honest, I don’t think we figured that one out yet,” Valderrama told the outlet. “I don’t think we have an idea yet. I asked, ‘What do we want from it,’ but I will tell you that someone does get hit and people might not like it.”

The “That ’70s Show” alum theorized that the show may be looking to stir things up.

When “NCIS” returns for Season 24, Valderrama told the magazine, there will be multiple changes.

“That episode one is going to bring both … I don’t want to get in trouble for this one,” he stopped himself, before continuing. “Let me get in trouble. How about this? Next season, there’s some major changes and there are some major additions. What does that mean for Torres? I can only hope that he makes it out alive.”

Season 23 already had the shocking death of NCIS boss Leon Vance, played by Rocky Carroll for 18 seasons and 392 episodes. Fans will have to wait for the fall to see what else is in order.

CBS has also ordered a new “NCIS” spinoff for this fall: “NCIS: New York,” in which LL Cool J will reprise his role as Special Agent Sam Hanna. The franchise will take over Tuesday nights, joined by “NCIS: Origins.”
