Although Montana proved to be a beautiful filming location for The Madison, Michelle Pfeiffer was far from paradise.
The Golden Globe winner recently explained that it “took a while” for the cast to adjust to filming the Taylor Sheridan-created Paramount+ series on location, due to the lack of air-conditioning and plumbing.
“It was all a little bit rushed for everyone, and so there weren’t certain accommodations set up,” she said on the Los Angeles Times’ In Conversation podcast. “There is no bathroom, even the outhouse is not real. So there’s no AC, there’s no plumbing, there isn’t anything. But it is breathtakingly glorious.”
In The Madison, Stacy Clyburn (Pfeiffer) and her family uproot their lives and relocate to rural Montana as they mourn the death of patriarch Preston Clyburn (Kurt Russell).

Following the Season 1 finale in March, Paramount gave The Madison an early Season 3 renewal in April. Although never officially announced, Season 2 quietly filmed last fall.
