Yes, Season 2 is adding two new characters. Sarah Wright Olsen and Henry Haber will make their debuts in the second half of the season. Wright Olsen will play Gwen, an efficiency expert analyzing the firm. Haber will play Hunter, a younger associate from the floater pool.
“We’re always bringing in new associates, new people, because we want to give our characters different energies to react to, and different obstacles to overcome,” showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman told Deadline. “And one thing that we were talking about in the writers’ room that we’ve been wanting to bring in is a bro, like a real bro.”
Olsen is married to Matlock executive producer Eric Christian Olsen. She is the second spouse to appear in the series, following Melanie Lynskey’s guest role in the Oct. 30, 3035 episode. Lynskey, of course, is married to Ritter.
But there will soon be a third. Edwin Hodge, real-life husband to Marshall, will guest star in the role of Langston, a charming, double-PhD intellectual.
