“Yellowstone” spinoff “Dutton Ranch” is burning up the ratings for Paramount+.
The May 15 premiere episodes reached 12.9 million views globally over seven days, marking the biggest original series launch for Paramount+. The former champion was in the family, Taylor Sheridan’s “The Madison,” which reached more than eight million views during its first 10 days on the platform after premiering on March 14.
The Paramount Network “Dutton Ranch” launch scored on linear TV as well, delivering 2.9 million total viewers on premiere night across its two-episode debut (with 1.9 million viewers on Episode 1). It’s the biggest series premiere on cable since 2023.
Viewers saw Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) forced to flee their Montana home due to a major fire, and start their lives again in Texas with teenager Carter (Finn Little). Beth did grab Elsa Dutton’s knife before leaving their home, which was ultimately destroyed.

In Texas, the Duttons are outnumbered while facing a new rival family ranch owner, Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening) and her sons Rob-Will Jackson (Jai Courtney) and Joaquin Jackson (Juan Pablo Raba). But, the resourceful couple has already buddied up with kindly vet Everett McKinney (Ed Harris).
The “Dutton Ranch” campaign carried over to music, propelling Eminem’s “Till I Collapse” to renewed heights after the song was used in the “Dutton Ranch” teaser and official trailer. More than two decades after its release, the track surged to a new all-time peak of No. 3 on Billboard’s Rap Digital Song Sales chart, and held steady for three consecutive weeks.
The return of Rip and Beth has also scored well with critics, who have given “Dutton Ranch” an 88 percent positive review rating on RottenTomatoes.
