It’s been a pretty great stretch for Taylor Sheridan fans! The Madison only just arrived on Paramount+ in March (one of several new shows coming this year), and it didn’t take long for people to get pulled into the Clyburn family’s story, the Montana setting, and that cast led by Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell. It’s quickly become one of the biggest new additions to Sheridan’s world this spring. And now there’s even more reason to get excited: The Madison has officially been renewed for Season 3.
What makes this especially wild is that Season 2 hasn’t even premiered yet. In fact, Paramount+ says the second season has already finished filming, which means fans are now in the unusual position of waiting on Season 2 while already knowing a Season 3 is on the way. That’s a major show of confidence from the streaming service and it says a lot about how quickly The Madison has found its place.

It also helps that the numbers were huge right out of the gate. Paramount+ says the premiere pulled in 8 million global views in its first 10 days, making it Taylor Sheridan’s biggest original series debut so far. The service also says the show was the No. 1 streaming original by views in its first week, according to Deadline, and cracked Nielsen’s top five original series with nearly 1 billion minutes viewed in its first full week. For a brand-new show, that’s a pretty hot start out of the gates!
Of course, the timing is what makes this news so exciting. Usually, when a new Sheridan show hits, fans are busy wondering whether there’s more coming. With The Madison, there’s no guessing game anymore! Season 1 is already streaming in full, Season 2 is finished filming, and Season 3 is officially happening. There’s still no word yet on when those next episodes will arrive, but at least we know this story isn’t slowing down anytime soon. That’s a nice place to be if you’ve already gotten attached to this world!
