Mark your calendars, NCIS fans.
It’s been a few months since the season 23 finale aired on CBS, and viewers are already anticipating what’s to come for season 24. While we knew NCIS was filming new episodes, it seems we won’t have to wait long to see them.
As NCIS’ social team revealed in a surprise announcement on Instagram, season 24 of the show will premiere on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. The show will air on the same day as the first episode of NCIS: Origins season 3 and the series premiere of the upcoming spinoff, NCIS: New York.
“October 6th, get ready to grab your gear 💪💪,” the caption read on July 27. “#NCIS, #NCISNY, and #NCISOrigins are coming at you with all-new seasons on CBS and Paramount+. See you there, probies … ”
Unsurprisingly, fans were thrilled about the news.
“October can’t come soon enough,” one person wrote in the comments. “Let’s goooooooo 🔥🔥,” another exclaimed. “YAY, I’m so excited to keep watching again,” a different follower added.
Season 24 will see Michael Weatherly rejoin the show as Tony DiNozzo. And while we don’t know how long he will be featured in the new season, both Michael and the show’s social team are ecstatic about the development.
“We’ve missed this one,” the caption read alongside a clip posted on Instagram on July 1. “Welcome back, old friend! 👋👋.”
