Another Blue Bloods family reunion took place on set of Boston Blue Season 2 in August: Vanessa Ray shared videos of herself with Donnie Wahlberg and Sonequa Martin-Green on set in Boston on Instagram on September 1, but she’s in plain clothes, not in-costume as Eddie Janko. Will Estes is appearing as Jamie Reagan in Boston Blue Season 2. Is Eddie, his wife, coming back, too?
The first two slides of Ray’s post on September 1 were a photo and video of her with Wahlberg and Martin-Green. She captioned the slides, “August: got to meet new family. @bostonbluecbs @therealsonequa” and “Boston singing all the worship music. @donniewahlberg.”
Ray seems to have been traveling to Boston over the summer at the same time that Boston Blue, which mostly films in Toronto, was filming in Massachusetts.
It appears to have just been a set visit, not an official cameo, for Ray, but with Jamie Reagan appearing in Season 2, it’s not impossible that Eddie could come back one day, too.
Estes was spotted filming on set of Season 2 on August 6, and Wahlberg confirmed his on-screen brother’s return on his Instagram Story on August 7.
“Welcome (back) to the family!” Wahlberg captioned the selfie that features Estes, Martin-Green, Amonsen, and Scribner. “Jamie Reagan! Aka Will Estes! #BostonBlue.” The song on the story was “Celebration” by Kool & The Gang.
Bridget Moynahan was the first Reagan sibling from Blue Bloods to guest star on Boston Blue. She appeared in Season 1 Episode 1, and again later in the season.

Marisa Ramirez reprised her role as Maria Baez throughout Season 1, and she’ll be back in the second season. Henry Reagan (Len Cariou) and Joe Hill (Will Hochman) also made appearances in the first season, while Jamie, Eddie, Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck), and Jack Reagan were mentioned by name.
Season 1 confirmed that Jamie and Eddie had a baby boy named Joe Francis Reagan.
